Raf Simons has been known to use upholstery materials not only for his own menswear label, but also for women's collections for Jil Sander and Christian Dior. Eventually, Simons's experiments led to Danish textile manufacturer Kvadrat inviting the designer to create his very own fabric line for the company.

Sunniva 2 and Balder 3 are highly tactile and sophisticated fabrics inspired by Raf Simons’s work in fashion. Characterized by rich texture and meticulously realized design, these fabrics bring a new sensibility to upholstery.
